It was raining early in the morning on Friday. I checked the weather map. Not good. Traffic cameras around the club showed the roads were wet too. So I didn't go to the club and post a message on the whatsapp group to ask my friends to try to come to Toa Payoh to play pickleball at the sheltered courts. A few decided to come. I invited my Toa Payoh group to join too but only one could come but we have enough people and planned to start at 8am.
周五一大早下起了雨。我看了看天气图，不太好。俱乐部周围的交通摄像头显示路面也湿滑。所以我没去俱乐部，只是在WhatsApp群里发了个消息，叫朋友们来大巴窑的有遮盖的球场打匹克球。结果有几个人决定来。我也邀请了大巴窑的朋友们一起来，但只有一个人可以来，不过我们人够多了，计划早上8点开始。
I walked to the place at about 7.30am passing by the chicken bros.
我大约7点30分走到场地，路过炸鸡兄弟那边。
Bad news was the courts were wet.
坏消息是球场有点湿。
One was more wet than the other. I set my bag on the less wet court and started using my shoes to spread the water so it could dry faster.
其中一个球场比另一个更湿。我把背包包放在没那么湿的那个球场上，开始用鞋子把水往外推散，这样球场干得更快。
The court dried faster than the other one.
这个球场比另一个干得更快。
By the time my friends come, we could start the warmup.
等我的朋友们来了，我们就可以开始热身了。
My friends all came. Few others came to join us. Some I don't mind having but I was unhappy with a pair of ladies. One older lady was bring another to play for the first time. She herself was a beginner and trying to teach her friend during our game. She asked to join our group and I decline because I already sense my friends don't like her.
我的朋友们都来了。有几个人也过来加入我们。有些我倒是可以接受，但我对一对女士不太满意。一位大神带另一位第一次玩的来玩。她自己也是个新手，在我们玩的时候想教她的朋友。她想加入我们以后的球局，但我拒绝了，因为我已经感觉到朋友们不喜欢她。
I finished the games and went with my friends for breakfast. As I headed home, I saw the courts would be closed every Monday.
我打完球，和朋友们一起去吃早餐。回家的时候，我发现球场每周一都关闭。
At home, I ordered food from Pizza Hut to deliver to my ex-colleague's place. We were going there for mahjong.
回到家，我从必胜客订了外卖，准备送到我前同事家。我们打算去那里打麻将。
I took the train to Tiong Bahru MRT station and walked passed a park.
我坐地铁到中峇鲁地铁站，步行经过一个公园。
Then through the car park between the blocks of flats.
然后穿过组屋楼之间的停车场。
We didn't play for money luckily because I lost. Even my best hand didn't win.
幸运的是，我们没有赌钱，因为我输了。就连我最好的牌也没赢。
