Hello, Splinterlands Community!

I am again with another post about my Splinterlands journey.Sometimes rewards are ordinary while on occasions I receive cards that make me genuinely happy. This time I received Rare cards and most importantly a Legendary card that made whole experience even more enjoyable.

Splinterlands is a game that continues to keep me interested. Collecting cards improving my collection trying battle strategies and opening reward packs are all parts of the experience that I enjoy.

Opening the Packs

Before revealing the cards I was curious about what was waiting inside the packs. The blue card backs made it impossible to know which monsters I would receive so I had to wait until the reveal process was complete. That uncertainty is one of the things I enjoy about opening packs.

When the cards finally appeared I was pleased to see different monsters. The rewards included Mindless Thrall, two copies of Torrent Sniper, Grove Doomblade and Dragonfang Lancer. I also received a Legendary card named Kervik, which was the highlight of this opening for me.

Mindless Thrall

One of the cards I received was Mindless Thrall. This monster has an intimidating appearance and its artwork immediately caught my attention. According to the card shown in my screenshot it costs 8 mana. Has 5 health.

Two Copies of Torrent Sniper

Another part of this pack opening was receiving two copies of Torrent Sniper. Getting cards can be helpful in Splinterlands because collecting additional copies may allow players to combine cards and increase their levels depending on the cards edition and progression rules.

Torrent Sniper has a ranged attack. Costs 7 mana according to the cards shown in my screenshots. Both copies display 8 health making them interesting additions to my collection.

Grove Doomblade

Grove Doomblade was another card included in my rewards. Its themed artwork gives it a powerful appearance and I am interested, in learning how it performs in actual battles.

The card shown in the screenshot costs 9 mana and has 5 health. Because of its mana cost I would need to plan my lineup before including it.

Even if a monster does not become part of my lineup immediately it may still prove useful in a particular ruleset or battle situation.

Dragonfang Lancer

Dragonfang Lancer was another addition. Dragonfang Lancer costs 6 mana. Displays 5 health in the screenshot. Dragonfang Lancers artwork also makes it stand out among the cards I received.

For me collecting monsters is an important part of improving my account. For me collecting monsters gives enough options to adapt to different battle conditions rather than relying on the same team every time.

Dragonfang Lancer gives me another card to examine when planning battles.

Every additional card helps me explore combinations. Sometimes a card that initially seems important can become useful when paired with right teammates.

The Biggest Surprise Kervik!

The exciting reward from this opening was undoubtedly Kervik, a Legendary card from the Rodentian group.

Receiving Legendary card always feels special me. Legendary cards have an appeal because they are less common than ordinary rewards and their distinctive designs make them memorable additions a collection.

The Kervik card shown in my screenshot costs 4 mana. Has 4 health along with 3 melee attack and 2 speed. These statistics make me curious about how Kervik could fit into battle lineups.

One thing I particularly like about a lower-mana Legendary card is the possibility of fitting it into a team without using much of the available mana. Course Kerviks actual usefulness will depend on Kerviks abilities, the battle rules and the other monsters I choose.

I do not want to claim that Kervik will guarantee victories because Splinterlands battles depend on factors. However receiving a Legendary card is still a moment and I am happy to have Kervik in my collection.

This reward also reminds me why I enjoy opening packs. When I have no idea what the next reveal will bring there is always a chance of discovering something special.

Why I Enjoy Collecting Cards

For me Splinterlands is more than opening packs and counting rewards. The collection side of the game gives me a reason to keep working toward my goals.

Instead I appreciate the cards I receive and look for ways to make the most of them.

This latest opening was enjoyable because it gave me Rare cards and one Legendary card. The two copies of Torrent Sniper were also a surprise while Kervik became the card I was happiest to receive.

My Plans for Future Battles

Having different monsters available can help me adjust my strategy when the rules change or when I face an opponent with an approach.

Final Thoughts

Overall I am pleased with this pack opening. I received Mindless Thrall, two copies of Torrent Sniper, Grove Doomblade, Dragonfang Lancer and the Legendary Kervik.

Every card adds something to my collection. I am especially happy about the Legendary reward. The Legendary reward was a surprise that made this opening more memorable.

I will continue playing Splinterlands collecting cards and looking for opportunities to improve my account. I hope these new additions will give me options in future battles and help me experiment with different strategies.
