Dear Splinterlands gamer friends, I hope everyone is well and your Daily Ranked Battles are going well. Today I have a completely different post for you. You may have noticed that I regularly share in-depth reviews of various popular cards or detailed posts on opening guild packs. However, today's post will not include a mechanics review of any specific card or a discussion of the guild pack. Today's main discussion is about my experience opening 8 rare draw packs that I recently opened and the rewards I got from them.
As you can see in the first picture, I have selected eight 'rare draw' packs to buy from the reward shop. These draws can currently be obtained using glint or reward points in Splinterlands. The specialty of these rare draw packs is that each pack is guaranteed to contain at least one rare Soulbound reward card. Here, the chance of getting a gold foil card by default is 0.5%. However, I already had an alchemy potion active in my account. Using this potion doubled the chance of getting gold foil to 1%. When I decided to open 8 packs, I was quite hopeful that maybe if I was lucky, I would get at least one gold foil card, which would have helped increase my collection power.
Immediately after confirming the pack purchase, the familiar and attractive opening animation of Splinterlands started on the screen. As you can see in the second picture, a mysterious blue card with a dark energy effect floating around it is displayed in the background. This type of visual animation makes the pack opening experience of the game much more enjoyable and exciting.
After the animation ended, the cards were arranged upside down on the screen in a 3x3 grid, which you can see in the third picture. The cards were all face-down, with a question mark flashing between each one. The interface had nine card slots neatly arranged. The moment before flipping the cards one by one was very exciting for any player.
Finally, I hit the 'reveal all' button to reveal all the cards at once. In the fourth picture, you can see the final result of my pack opening. Here is a list of the 9 cards I got from this:
Withered Old Sage (Fire Splinter): This is a fire element card with 6 mana and 1 magic attack. I got 2 of them.
Dragonfang Lancer (Dragon Splinter): A dragon card with 6 mana, 1 melee attack and 2 armor.
Careless Badger (Death Splinter): A death element card with 3 mana and 2 melee attacks.
Gravebrand Warlock (Death Splinter): A powerful death card with 3 magic attacks for 8 mana.
Surgehammer (Water Splinter): A water elemental genie card with 2 melee attacks for 6 mana.
Pixie-Knife Hurler (Life Splinter): A life card with 2 ranged attacks for 7 mana and 2 armor. I also got 2 of these.
Mindless Thrall (Death Splinter): A death elemental card with 2 melee attacks for 8 mana.
Although I didn't get any gold foil cards this time despite the Alchemy Potion, I'm still quite happy with what I got. Especially since I got the Withered Old Sage and Pixie-Knife Hurler cards, the process of leveling up my deck by combining cards has progressed a lot. It's true that Soulbound cards cannot be sold in Splinterlands, but leveling them up gives you a huge advantage in battle. What kind of cards have you been getting from the reward draw lately? Be sure to share your experiences in the comments section. Good luck everyone!
