It seems appropriate to dedicate a few lyrical lines to the ornamental magnolia, which is regarded in many parts of Asia as a tree of devotion, intuition, self-knowledge and inner peace, and in our latitudes as a symbol of grace, beauty, purity, and strength drawn from the depths of the soul.
