Will it be Guinness or will it be IPA? Well I guess the title gives it away this week and it's an IPA, although soon after we left this burger joint, we started into some lovely creamy pints of Guinness.
These beers were enjoyed in Dublin on Thursday night. Myself and six current and former work colleagues met up for a catch up and a few pints. I got the 6:30am bus up to the big smoke that morning and once our days work was done, we made a bee line for town, first stop Bobo's Burger which serves top notch burgers and beers, a formidable mix! We both went for a Retro IPA from local Irish brewery Rye River.
I went for this burger and opted for the half and half chips and onion rings alongside, which came with sweet chilli and garlic mayonnaise dips.
I thought the Bobo's brand on top of the burger was a cool touch and really makes the meal stand out.
As you can see in the background of this next shot, the restaurant was still pretty quiet, so we got orders in and food on the table inside around five minutes, which was brilliant meaning we were pretty much on time to meet our other friends in the pub.
We had a great evening catching up and then I was back on the bus on my way home to Galway by 9:45pm and home in bed by 1am. That's my favourite type of night out these days to be honest, early in, early home.
Thanks to @detlev for this ongoing and excellent contest for beer lovers around the world. Why not join yourself? Just tell a story about beer with a few photos or drink a beer and tell us about it.
Sláinte wherever you find yourself, take it handy, and if ya get it, take it twice!
