We all strive for three things in our life i.e. Food, Shelter, and Clothes and it's quite essential for our survival and considered to be the basic needs of any human being. Food is important as we can't imagine life without food.
Whatever we do the entire day we must feed ourselves to get that energy to run through all the tasks which we perform throughout the day. Everything has scarcity and food is not an exception to it.
We need to make sure we don't waste when it's not required, I have seen many such examples of people who buy a lot of stuff and if they are not able to complete it they through it away we need to be careful as there are many who can't even afford by that little.
It's also important for us to keep in mind that at least we make enough money that we can buy food that is required for our daily needs because, in the end, we are earning for living and not living for earning.
