I wasn't expecting much in the way of gifts today but this arrived to my phone this morning and is about all I need for my 41st.
I mean, a condo by the sea, a fast car, and a beautiful wife would also be nice, but I'll take the above and be happy - although sleeping on the settee in the middle of the day, that's so old!
I also got an early morning message from my brother with this emoji 馃懘, and one from my mother too, thanks mum!
Apart from that though, it's been a quite one, probably the quietest one so far. It's partly my fault, I've not arranged anything and it is cold, wet, and blowing a gale outside - winter birthdays are such a ripoff.
Anyway, if I didn't put anything at all on the chain on the 10th December this year it would feel a bit strange. Next year I'll make more of an effort and who knows, party on the beach?
