Hello, photography lovers! With the 40th chapter of this series of works made every week on the 52frames site I start the current year 2024. I made a stop in the programming to take a vacation with my family. I hope you enjoy the challenges I bring today!
Hola, amantes de la fotografía! Con el capítulo 40 de esta serie de trabajos realizados cada semana en el sitio 52frames, comienzo el actual año 2024. Hice una parada en la programación para tomarme unas vacaciones con mi familia. Espero disfruten los retos que traigo hoy!
Week 1, 2024: Self Portrait / Autorretrato
I hate self-portraits when they are for serious reasons. I prefer the casual selfie on the coast with my camera on its tripod as travel companions and a beautiful sunset in the background. But it's 52frames, I can't think of anything other than more formal, so this image is the one that stays. I liked it because of the brightness of the diffuser that allows one of my eyes to see. Disheveled, wanting to get it over with, and my wife calling me for dinner.
I activated the camera remotely with Snap Bridge on my cell phone, to check the results and repeat if necessary.
Odio los autorretratos cuando son por motivos serios. Prefiero el selfie casual en la costa con mi cámara en su trípode como compañeros de viaje y una preciosa puesta de sol de fondo. Pero cuando es para 52frames, no se me ocurre otra cosa que más formal, así que esta imagen es la que se queda. Me gustó por la luminosidad del difusor que deja ver uno de mis ojos. Despeinado, con ganas de acabar de una vez y mi mujer llamándome para cenar.
Activé la cámara a distancia con Snap Bridge en el móvil, para comprobar los resultados y repetir si era necesario.
Week 2, 2024: A new technique / Una nueva técnica
One of the pending techniques that I had to practice is the one created by Pep Ventosa. I watched two or three videos on YouTube and finally decided on some tiny flowers from my garden.
This work consisted of 9 photos plus a main one with pink flowers as the center. I moved the small vase from left to right several times and made my selection. Once the work was completed, I mirror duplicated the resulting image and applied more touch-ups in the center. This technique fascinates me.
Una de las técnicas pendientes que tenía que practicar es la creada por Pep Ventosa. Vi dos o tres vídeos en YouTube y finalmente me decidí por unas flores pequeñitas de mi jardín.
Este trabajo constaba de 9 fotos más una principal con flores rosas como centro. Moví el jarrón pequeño de izquierda a derecha varias veces e hice mi selección. Una vez terminado el trabajo, dupliqué en espejo la imagen resultante y apliqué más retoques en el centro. Esta técnica me fascina.
Week 3, 2024: Black and white / Blanco y negro
My modest glassware on a piece of translucent acrylic against my monitor, projecting full-screen vector lines. Convert everything to black and white, eliminate many imperfections and scratches on the glass and that's it.
Mi modesta cristalería sobre un trozo de acrílico translúcido contra mi monitor, proyectando líneas vectoriales a toda pantalla. Convierto todo a blanco y negro, elimino muchas imperfecciones y arañazos del cristal y listo.
Week 4, 2024: Scene from a movie / Escena de una película
My friend Melissa is trying to figure out where those lipstick marks on my friend Jose's face came from. They are definitely not birthmarks! Something tragicomic may be happening to this man!
Mi amiga Melissa está tratando de averiguar de dónde salieron esas marcas de lapiz labial en el rostro de mi amigo José. Definitivamente no son marcas de nacimiento! Algo tragicómico puede sucederle a este hombre!
Some photos correspond better than others to each challenge posed...I will embrace imperfection!
