¡Hola, amigos! 👋

Hace poco participé en mi primera Marcha para Jesús, que se celebró el 1 de agosto y cuyo recorrido fue de 5 km, desde la plaza El Indio hasta la concha acústica del polideportivo. Afortunadamente, no solo participé en grupo con miembros de mi iglesia, sino que también me acompañó mi hermana mayor, así que fue una gran bendición vivir esta experiencia en compañía.

I recently took part in my first Walk for Jesus, which was held on August 1 and covered a 5-kilometer route from Plaza El Indio to the acoustic shell at the sports center. Fortunately, not only did I participate as part of a group with members of my church, but my older sister also joined me, so it was a great blessing to share this experience with her.

Para celebrar el amor de Dios por nosotros, no quise presentarme con las manos vacías, ya que la idea era ir con toda la actitud para mostrar nuestro gozo y exaltar su nombre. Así que, con los pocos materiales que tenía en casa, hice una pancarta pequeña que dejó al descubierto mis escasas habilidades para las manualidades, pero el Señor sabe que lo hice con amor. 😅

To celebrate God’s love for us, I didn’t want to show up empty-handed, since the idea was to go all out to show our joy and exalt His name. So, with the few materials I had at home, I made a small banner that revealed my limited crafting skills, but the Lord knows I did it with love.

Mi hermana y yo no estábamos preparadas físicamente para resistir una caminata tan larga, pero el Señor es tan bueno que nos dio la fuerza para llegar a la meta y, además, ir brincando y animadas durante todo el camino. La energía de la marcha fue maravillosa: muchísimas personas orando, cantando y compartiendo la alegría de dedicarle un tiempo a nuestro Padre.

My sister and I weren't physically prepared to handle such a long walk, but the Lord is so good that He gave us the strength to reach the finish line—and even to skip along cheerfully the whole way. The energy of the walk was wonderful: so many people praying, singing, and sharing the joy of spending time with our Father.

Al terminar, estábamos exhaustas, pero con el corazón lleno de felicidad. Fue una gran bendición haber participado y me hizo mucha ilusión ver que tantas personas conocen a Jesús y que estemos juntos en este camino. Espero que, en una nueva oportunidad, mis otras hermanas puedan asistir, ya que las extrañamos bastante 🥹. Ahora, si estás en Maturín, ¿sabías algo sobre esta marcha?

When it was over, we were exhausted, but our hearts were filled with joy. It was such a blessing to have participated, and I was so thrilled to see that so many people know Jesus and that we’re on this journey together.
