Once we reach the end of the old Casablanca dock - on the other side of the Havana's bay - there is a small strip of sand that is not very contaminated with plastics. It allows you to take good shots at sunset with the wall of the Cabaña Fortress on one side, the profile of Old Havana on the other and the Castillo del Morro lighthouse in the background. Anyone who allows themselves to get their feet wet while walking or posing on the strip of sand with not so fine grains, will achieve very good souvenir photos and perhaps an invitation to return. Our Deborah agreed to dip her feet in the cold, salty water of our tropical winter, and I was able to take a few shots against a sky that was already showing the golds typical of the farewell of the day. Una vez que llegamos al final del antiguo muelle de Casablanca, -del otro lado de la bahía de La Habana-, hay una pequeña franja de arena que no está muy contaminada de plásticos. Permite hacer buenas tomas al atardecer teniendo el muro de la Fortaleza de la Cabaña a un costado, el perfil de la Habana Vieja al otro y el faro del Castillo del Morro al fondo. El que se permita mojarse los pies mientras camina o posa por la franja de arena de granos no tan finos, logrará muy buenas fotos de recuerdo y quizás, de invitación a regresar. Nuestra Deborah accedió a mojarse los pies en el agua salada y fría de nuestro invierno tropical, y pude hacerle unas cuantas tomas contra un cielo que ya mostraba los dorados propios de la despedida del día.
