I took Yenli to the old Casablanca docks in Havana. It is a spectacular place to do photo sessions. Large open space with views of the old part of the city, on the other side the centuries-old fortresses of La Cabaña and the Morro lighthouse and the view of ships and cruise ships entering and leaving through the narrow entrance to the bay. There is even a small strip of sand where you can fantasize about walking on the sand, being careful with the possible pieces of glass and plastic that the tide brings. Yenli was a little nervous walking up the rusty groynes but she never said no and she crawled, almost gracefully, into the center of the beams for photos. She was amazed to see how I walked upright in front of her through those same structures.
Llevé a Yenli a los antiguos muelles de Casablanca en La Habana. Es un lugar espectacular para hacer sesiones de fotos. Gran espacio abierto con vistas de la parte antigua de la ciudad, del otro lado las centenarias fortalezas de La Cabaña y el faro del Morro y la vista de los barcos y cruceros entrando y saliendo por la angosta entrada a la bahía. Hay hasta una pequeña franja de arena donde pueden fantasear con caminar por la arena, con precaución con los posibles pedazos de vidrios y plásticos que la marea trae. Yenli estuvo poco nerviosa al caminar por los espigones herrumbrosos pero nunca dijo que no y se arrastró, casi elegantemente hasta el centro de las vigas para las fotos. Se asombraba al ver como yo caminaba erguido frente a ella por esas mismas estructuras.
