The Hotel Paseo del Prado in two stages. I had to photograph a place that was important to me for the weekly challenge of 52frames and as an extra requirement, show that place in a photo that combined day and night. I really like photographing that place, its unique architecture in an urban environment that has not changed in many years makes it stand out along the entire coastline and also because it is at the very entrance to Havana Bay. The bronze-colored metallic finishes spectacularly reflect the evening sun and that is why I have always liked that time and place to capture it both in landscapes and in portraits, by putting it in the background as a support. I went at 9 p.m. to photograph it lit up against a receding blue sky, marked the spots where I set up my tripod, and returned at 9 a.m. the next day. However, it was quite complex to fit so many lines and curves in both superimposed images, but I finally did it and here you see the result. I hope you enjoy it!
El Hotel Paseo del Prado en dos tiempos. Tenía que fotografiar un lugar que fuera importante para mí para el reto semanal de 52frames y como exigencia extra, mostrar ese lugar en una foto que combinara el día y la noche. Me gusta mucho fotografiar ese lugar, su arquitectura singular en un entorno urbano que no ha variado en muchísimos años hace que se destaque en toda la línea costera y además porque está a la misma entrada de la bahía de La Habana. Los acabados metálicos color bronce reflejan espectacularmente el sol del atardecer y es por eso que me ha gustado siempre esa hora y ese lugar para captarlo tanto en paisajes como en los retratos, al ponerlo de fondo como apoyo. Fui a las 9 de la noche a fotografiarlo iluminado contra el cielo de azul en retirada, marqué los puntos donde puse mi trípode y regresé a las 9 de la mañana del día siguiente. No obstante, fue bastante complejo encajar tantas líneas y curvas en ambas imágenes superpuestas, pero finalmente lo logré y aquí ven el resultado. Espero que sea de vuestro agrado!
