The following is a conversation that transpired between a married man and cop during an investigation.
Man: Hellll hel hellllooo off offff offficer --------------- (he stuttered)
Cop: How can I help you.
Man: my daughter has gone missing, she went shopping since morning and hasn't returned.
Cop: How long has she been gone??
Man: Like I said, since morning around the hours of 10 - 11 am.
Cop: I'm sorry sir but we cannot declare a person missing until 24 hours.
Man: I know that very well but this is a different situation, I know my daughter and this is unlike her usual behaviour.
Cop: Very well then, can you give a brief description of her appearance??
Man: Yeah, of course.
Cop: What is her height?
Man: Don't really know.
Cop: What's the colour of her hair??
Man: Not specific; changes according to the season.
Cop: What's her age??
Man: Mid 20's
Cop: What's her health status, slim or healthy??
Man: Never checked, but definitely not slim!
Cop: What's the colour of her eyes??
Man: Never really noticed.
Cop: What kind of cloth was she wearing??
Man: Don't really know, wasn't around when she left home.
Cop: Was she driving or Joined a public fare, like a cab or something??
Man: Yes, she was driving!
Cop: What's the brand and colour of the car??
Man: It is a black Audi A8 with supercharged 3.0 litre V6 Engine, generating 333 horse power teamed with an eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission with manual mode. And it has headlights, which has light emitting diodes for all lighting functions and it has a very slight scratch on the front right door, with plate number WB08G6814 ..............................,then the man busted in tears.
Cop: Don't worry sir, we will find your car.
Man: 😀😀 😀😀 😀😀
It's quite appalling that we now live in generation that places so much value on things rather than people; things were originally meant to be used and people loved, just like the above illustration the world we live in today is a big mess because things are now being given the utmost priority and being loved, while people are being used.
As the days evolve and with the amazing advancements in technology, people tend to have a certain large percentage on created techs such robots, phones, vibrators, sex-dolls,lots more.
Not that the development of robots and mobile devices are not of great importance in terms of the undeniable solutions to potentially impossible problems, but the truth in fact rests on the abuse of knowledge and wisdom.
We find so many emotionally confused people seeking for sexual pleasure and delusive comforts in robots such as vibrators and sex-dolls, we find people so addicted to their mobile devices to a point where they no longer have the time to relate with family and friends when gathered together.
We live in a generation that is in search of the virtual world where everything they want or desire can be under their control without any real emotional attachment or responsibility binding them.
We find people scouting for the perfect person with the most followers and friends on a social media platform, we see people spending so much time and energy trying to create an elusive world of theirs by amassing a great number things that may likely satisfy them, so as to fill the hole of emptiness within.
People are now willing to spend hundreds of dollars on things that seemingly appear to replace the need for real people and communication in life, they tend to hold high values on luxurious techs rather than souls with real value. They want to fill that second of depravity and loneliness with the virtual reality of a charade where everything seems perfect.
But the truth is that through it all, there can never be a substitute for the presence of personality in our lives. One we can trust in, one we we value, one we can hold on to in our weak moments.
No matter how high or low we hold regards for the things we do in order to satisfy the emptiness with modern technology, there will always be a need for the soul who would be a strength in our weaknesses, not a virtual one but a real one whom we value and respect. Whom we can hold on to and above all, these are found in real people that we see and interact with.
