Poor Africa
Much talked about
But less cared about
Except by those that have the straw
To suck it dry and abandon
How long will strangers defile you
At the connivance of
Your special sons and daughters
To de-mean your children
And let your frontiers?
The sea can feign a friend
But buried in the fangs
Or glittering alluring tongues
Are foams of wrath
At awake
At the toss of the wind
Time to rise
Sleeping Giant!
