'Can't go out of this'
I hear myself keep saying
'Just have to live with the scare'
I keep telling my self
'What is done cannot be erased'
I make myself believe
'So nothing can be done about it'
I finally draw the curtains.
Lots of people make mistakes in life
And decide to settle into them.
These are, who face life with despondency
for they find true happiness no more in it.
Just a 'not-prayed-about an answer' given
A rather 'not-too-careful' decision made
Or a hasty 'out-of-the-way' action taken
Could land anyone there.
Mistakes are easy to make,
Difficult to get out of.
What a moment's prayer and thinking
Would have prevented,
Months of fast, prayers and tears
All come together to find solutions.
It pays to rest those matters
With our Father who sees and knows better,
For his wisely direction
Than take them upon ourselves,
And bear the pains later.
