Hello everyone, this is my last post about cafe restaurants before the new year (according to the Vietnamese lunar calendar). Tonight is the night of the 29th New Year is the last day of 2021, just a few hours more we will celebrate New Year's Eve together. Many years ago (when the Covid - 19 epidemic had not yet appeared) the night of the 29th or 30th (lunar calendar) was the day when people burned incense together for their ancestors and went to see fireworks together. However, the Covid-19 epidemic has made Tet boring and people do not dare to go out on the street. That's why this year I stay at home and still blog haha. Years ago I went out with my friends and went to see the fireworks and the scenery together, celebrated together and talked. And now that I'm watching fireworks on TV, this year's festival is really sad. Today is the last day the cafes open to serve customers, then they will be closed for about 5-6 days. I went to this milk tea restaurant by myself and enjoyed its great taste. I will have to stop milk tea for 10 days because in my house now, there are many soft drinks and other foods. In these days, whether rich or poor people stock up a lot of food, especially meat, and when any guest comes to visit, we will invite them to enjoy our food. These days are really busy but I still make time to blog because this is my passion, I would feel miserable if I can't write something LOL.
I went to a milk tea restaurant called: "Dome Cafe" - Address: Giao Luu Urban Area, Giao Luu City, 234 Pham Van Dong Street. I came here when the restaurant staff was washing the yard and cleaning their restaurant, they said they would close in a few hours. The street today is quite deserted because everyone has to stay at home to prepare for their family's year-end meal.
I ordered 1 cup of oolong milk tea - white pearl.
Oolong tea is a type of tea originating in Taiwan (the homeland of milk tea), oolong tea has a light aroma and a yellow-green color. This tea is best when combined with milk and crispy pearls that make me fall in love. There are many toppings for milk tea such as: egg pudding, chocolate pudding, sugar black pearl, coconut jelly, .. but I like white pearl best because it's not too sweet and very crispy.
This restaurant's strengths are coffee drinks, yogurt, spicy juices, iced dishes, teapots, and tea, milk tea is just a small list of their drink menu. That means this is not really a milk tea shop but rather a tea shop for those who love different types of tea.
The restaurant space is quite large and has 3 floors to sit. The restaurant staff was a lovely girl and she was very polite. When going to a restaurant, I always pay attention to the attitude of the wait staff, which greatly affects the quality of the restaurant. When I said I wanted to take pictures of this restaurant, she invited me to visit the 2nd and 3rd floors and then showed me good angles to take good pictures. There have been various books on history, business, education,..and famous novels displayed on wooden shelves, I will come back to this restaurant, read the books and enjoy other teas. The restaurant space was really peaceful and there was a lot of light, which made me feel comfortable.
Price of a cup of milk tea: 50,000 VND (about 2.4 dollars) is more expensive than other milk tea restaurants, but the price is worth because of the space, drinks, and service attitude 10 points.
