Visiting a Resort before it's inauguration

Have you ever been to a Site before it's inaugural. Well last weekend I got a chance to visit one of the Resort a little away from the City in the Mountains which has still not opened up for public and the final finishing touches are going on.

A friend of mine is managing the maintenance of this place and hence we got the opportunity to visit the site, else it would be difficult. The advantage of visiting such sites is that you get to know the inside out of the place and how places of this magnitude operate, which is beyond our imagination at times. There is so much detailing that goes in planning. There are so many different types of customers so they need to see at large how they would be satisfying the need of almost all their customers.

Also on the outside we do not realize how they manage their kitchens and their systems. In a cold weather to deliver a food order from the kitchen into the room would take a minimum of 10 mins, and they need to ensure that the food is still served hot, so how do they do all of this. Sometimes I wonder it's all really magic that these guys bring to the table with their eye to detailing and an efficient customer service, giving their customers the best experience.

Let me give you a tour of this place. The name of this Resort is Dusit. It's a part of the Dusit Resorts and Hotel Chain origin of Thailand.

This is the Lobby of the Resort looks grand, and the finishing touches are still going on.

The overall set up of the place is a mix of traditional and contemporary styles.

This is a play activity area. On the first look I felt that some work is going on, but then later the guy explained that it is a play area.

The pool is temperature controlled and has a music system arrangement all over.

It is said that the Asians have a good flair for Technology and it clearly shows up in the place.

The Kitchen set up is huge, so many different equipment's. There are chiller rooms, separate ice-cream making room, Fryer room, its like 1 separate kitchen for every activity.

And I realized that I clicked many pictures of the kitchen, probably it got a little overwhelming for me. :-)

There is a Gym and the Jacuzzi and Spa areas. Wow so much luxury. It would be a perfect stay over the weekend, pampering yourself.

There were couple of Restaurants, I visited only one of the, On the tables were all laid the new cutlery to be used. All of them have been selected with a very fine taste is all that I could say.

I like this wall, it is made up of all different types of Carpet designs from different cultures.

After all of it a perfect sunset

In a month or two most probably the place will open up, and it is going to be priced on a steep side, so I am not sure if I would want to visit it. Though how much ever I liked it but I feel it would be a criminal waste to spend 300$ to 400$ a night for a stay here. Only if I get some good deal then I will try it out. But this will remain a good memory.

Thank you for visiting my blog. πŸ‘ΌπŸ»πŸ‘ΌπŸ»πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸŒΉπŸŒΊπŸŒΈ
