[video blog] The Bahamas and some thoughts after vacation

So, who lives a better life - a guy with no higher education who washes boats at Staniel Cay from 10 to 4 and then after a light dinner takes his loving family to the beach, or you?

This question was raised during our trip and even though it sounds like there’s an easy answer there really isn’t.

I don’t know this guy's dreams but the locals seem happy and chill. There is no rush, no crowds, no noise. Values seem clear.

I was surprised to see how the locals treat tourists with respect but more importantly how they treat each other! We witnessed a situation when a bunch of guys were resting at the beach, and their friend joined them after a while -each of them stood up and greeted her with a hug and a kiss on her cheek. Only the two tourists sitting nearby that they were casually talking to, waved at her seated.
These are things I myself forget when my mind is cluttered and all over the place. It’s easy to learn that whatever is sufficient, is right...

I don’t know this guy's dreams and I’m not sure this is my dream. I’m also not a fan of comparison, especially when the units don’t compare well.

For many people a life like that is a dream though, and as I recently realized to my surprise I’m more of a doer than a thinker I must say it’s more than possible: as my dear friend Edgars used to say - ask and you may receive or don’t ask and complain you didn’t. We are living in a world where you can be anywhere you want doing anything you can, it’s a matter of decision and finding the right means and methods.

How are you gonna live your dream?
