Orinokia Bridge

The second bridge over the Orinoco River was inaugurated in 2006. Before its construction, those who wanted to go to Puerto Ordaz had to pass through the Angostura bridge and Ciudad Bolívar. Or to cross in "chalana", a boat that transported cargo and people, from the population of the Barrancas. This river trip had its charm because you could see how the waters of different colors of the Orinoco and Caroni rivers joined.

With this beautiful bridge the trip to Puerto Ordaz / Ciudad Guayana was shortened, since you only have to travel a new highway from the Crucero de la Viuda in el Tigre-Ciudad Bolivar highway.
