Ironically, it was a busy day at the ghost town. They want you to reserve a spot in their Mine Tour because they want to have a minimum of 4 people -normally. I was supposed to be the 5th in my time slot. It WAS a holiday weekend and was more crowded than I thought it'd be. Didn't even think about that as I planned on the trip. We ended up having something like 15 people, with a bunch of kids, with the other slots booked with a waitlist. They told me there was a flood of people that came in last minute. Not so ghostly :)
There were a lot more people there than I expected, and I even saw a biker gang ride up to Nelson while I was there taking photos and the mine tour. I'm sure they got a kick out of this one!
