Trekking Nepal (Part 8): Procrastination is a bitch

Tomorrow... the place where ambition lies and our to-do list from today goes to die.

Today I came to the realization that it's been over a year since I embarked on one of the most amazing journey's of my life, yet I still haven't processed or posted the complete set of photos.

I didn't plan for it to be this way. In fact I didn't even notice. Procrastination ever so slowly ate away at my goals like a river through limestone.

However, rather than spend ting the day hating myself I figured it would be a little more productive to just pick up where I left off.... And that was somewhere up in the mountains after leaving Tilecho lake.

One of my favourite quotes which I think came from Mr Microsoft himself is:

People overestimate what they can do in one year, and underestimate what they can do in ten years

I couldn't help but contemplate that thought as I sat staring at these stone walls that stretched as far as I could see. To build them seemed an impossible task, but there before me stood a shining example of the power of waking up and just focusing on stacking the next rock.

So as I fall asleep tonight with an impossibly large light room catalog to get through... tomorrow I will simply wake up and stack that next rock.

Good night everybody.

Shawn Achor's "The Happiness Advantage" taught me the power of gratitude
Let's spread some across Steemit! If you want to comment but don't know what to say, just tell me 3 things you’re grateful for today and why. If you’re struggling to come up with ideas try:

  • Something temporary (your coffee, the sunshine)
  • A person
  • An object

Recent double blind placebo controlled studies have shown following @lifeofryan also greatly increases happiness :)
