So yesterday, we flew from Toronto , Canada to Kaunas, Lithuania for our (annual) trip back to @donce 's hometown. I'm sure we are not the only ones who try and save some bucks off of flight tickets especially during this time of the year.
Anyway, long story short, we booked Condor airlines' Rail & Fly where you take a train as your "connection" to the next stop.
From Frankfurt, we took the DB train to Berlin centre and we took a bus from there to Tegel airport.
It was not fun, I have to be quite honest. Or maybe we didn't do thorough research.
I took a picture of my view as I sit on the floor of the train as apparently, the seats are reserved and they still book even when seats are full.
It was more confusing that adventurous - just the whole idea of Rail & Fly. I mean, you would think that when you book the flight that any connection from there on would be looked after. Apparently, once you're done with flying, you're on your own pretty much.
I must say, I liked the trains and the stations in both Frankfurt main and Berlin main - super big but signs are everywhere!
We'll definitely go back to Germany for a vacation but that would be the first and last time we book Rail & Fly or even Condor eye rolls
Best part though - we're on vacatioooooooon! Will keep y'all posted!
Cheers! 🍻
