Jungle, mountains, waterfalls.. You can all find this in Sibuyan island, the perfect place for an adventurous holiday! This paradise is located in the Philippines.
I took the boat from Romblon island at 7 AM, which takes around 2,5 hour. I arrived by the Magdiwang port and the hostel picked me up. I stayed in sanctuary garden, I can highly recommend this place. I payed just 250 peso for my fan dormitory room! It is also pissible to take the boat from Lucena or roxas, they say also from Masbate.
When I arrived, I met a French girl and we decided to swim in the really nice river next to the hostel.
The next day, we decided to rent a scooter (500 peso) to drive around the island. The whole way around is 98 km and half of the road is not cemented. This makes it lots more adventurous but it can sometimes be hard... Our legs were a little bit muddy after the whole way around.
We wanted to go to the Cataja Waterfall, but the hike was to difficult for my friend.. There was not really a pad. I think for the most people it will not be to hard to hike to there since an old lady wanted to guide us to the falls since she had to pass it by. But my friend decided to go back. The area where we walked, the start of the 20 minutes hike, looked so beautiful with the rice fields and mountains, just to check that out is already worth it!
If you wanna go to the falls, I recommend to ask people for the way or to guide you, they will do it for a small amount of money!

We made also a stop by the Catingas river near san fernando, the landscape looks beautiful and there are also cliffs you can jump off! And they are high! There is an entrance fee and some activities like a zipline, but there was nobody when we were there, so it was not possible to try the zipline, you can see the zipline on the picture below!
All in all, Sibuyan is for me an island you can not miss for sure. You will be most of the time the only one if you go somewhere! Pure paradise for you alone!
