willkommen zum vierundzwanzigsten Teil unserer Rundreise über die Insel Korsika.
Today we will drive through the Les Calanques de Piana, one of the most spectacular roads in Corsica. Stay tuned!
Wie im letzten Teil schon angekündigt, steht heute die Les Calanques de Piana im Mittelpunkt. Hier verläuft einer der spektakulärsten Straßen auf Korsika.
West of the road, the terrain descends steeply to the sea, and there are a few deep ravines.
Westlich der Staße fällt das Gelände steil zum Meer ab, und es gibt ein paar tiefe Schluchten.
To the east, it is steeply uphill. In the following picture you can see the road on the right side. The small white dots are mobile homes.
Richtung Osten geht es dafür steil bergauf. Auf dem folgenden Bild kann man auf der Rechten Seite die Straße erkennen. Die kleinen weißen Punkte sind Wohnmobile.
To the left and right of the road there are plenty of small parking places to stop and take photos. Even in the off-season, however, this is annoying, since one hardly gets along, since every tourist wants to keep at every point to shoot his photos.
Links und rechts der Straße gibt es jede Menge kleine Parkplätze zum Anhalten und Fotos machen. Selbst in der Nebensaison ist das aber nervig, da man kaum vorwärtskommt, da jeder Tourist an jeder Stelle halten will um seine Fotos zu schiessen.
As we headed north, I sat as driver of the rental car in the direction of west. And since I am a lazy person, I often shot the photos straight out of the car when we were in the traffic jam. Below a few more impressions.
Da wir Richtung Norden fuhren, saß ich als Fahrer des Mietwagens Richtung Westseite. Und da ich ein fauler Mensch bin, habe ich oftmals die Fotos direkt aus dem Auto heraus geschossen, wenn wir im Stau standen. Unten ein paar mehr Impressionen.
A few minutes later the port and the beach of Ota Porto came into sight.
Ein paar Minuten später kam dann bereits der Hafen und der Strand von Ota Porto in Sicht.
The bay is dominated by a genuese tower. The beach is not as sandy as other bays of Corsica, but it's quite ok.
Die Bucht wird von einem Genuesenturm dominiert. Der Strand ist hier nicht ganz so schön sandig wie in anderen Buchten Korsikas, aber an sich ganz ok.
A few kilometers further north-westerly one passes the beautiful beach Belle plage de galets. Here we also made a lunch break before continuing to Calvi. In Calvi our journey ends. More about this in the next and last part.
Ein paar Kilometer weiter nordwestlich kommt man am schönen Strand Belle plage de galets vorbei. Hier machten wir dann auch eine Mittagspause, bevor es weiter Richtung Calvi ging. In Calvi endet dann unsere Reise. Mehr dazu im nächsten und letzten Teil.
