Back to Civilization // Backpacking through Sweden Day #7

Day #7

We woke up in this beautiful location (sorry, I didn't take new pictures that day) at 7 a.m, and I had hardly slept because it was so cold. We ate breakfast on the pier and were done with packing our bags soon after that. So we left at 8:45 and walked into Ängelholm to go shopping. I bought the usual: rolls, cheese, an apple, and tons of cinnamon rolls. We took a rather early train at 10:15 and then waited for a bus in Varberg.

It had been a while since being in civilization, and the clock hanging over the bus station confused me a lot. According to what I saw, it was around 4 p.m, which didn’t make any sense, so I tried to read it the other way. It still made no sense whatsoever, so I decided that I was not made for a normal life and should just stay out in the wilderness for the rest of my life.

I think the clock had just stopped at 4 p.m. It was broken but it did took me quite some time to figure that out..

On the way to Göteborg, I fell asleep a few times, almost falling onto the guy next to me. Outside, we looked at a map and tried to pronounce the street names (impossible) and then walked to our hostel. Each of us had blisters on their toes.

At the hostel a crowd was standing in front of the key boxes. They just couldn’t figure it out. After my first try (kidding, my second try), our key box popped open. Genious. They applauded. I’m actually serious, they did! I had just followed the instructions provided to me, but you know.. Maybe I’m just really smart, lol.

The first thing I did was take a hot shower.

And then we needed pizza. Because, obviously, that was the only thing that kept us motivated throughout the trip. Especially on those hard days at the end, where our feet were already dead.

And so we went and got pizza.
