A few months ago my friends and I visited New Orleans. It is a unique area surrounded by swamps. Because it’s very shallow many areas can only be reached by airboat. It’s a boat with a giant fan on the back instead of an underwater propeller. The boat is very load and very fun when it gets moving.
We took an airboat tour around the swamp. The guide and boat driver spoke with a very heavy southern accent as we struggled to decipher his jokes. The boat passed several more gators like this one. And at one area, the driver threw marshmallows to the gators to train them to congregate in one area of the river.
