Extraordinary Travels #3 - Amsterdam (Banksy Exhibition)

BANKSY

If you have read my previous post, you may know Mr K and I stayed at Bilderberg Jan Luyken Hotel. I was absolutely thrilled to find out that a Banksy Exhibition was being held right next door! On our first morning in Amsterdam, we had an early breakfast to beat the lines and get into the exhibition as quickly as possible. The dreary weather definitely didn't dampen our moods!

For those who do not know who Banksy is, he/she is an anonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist and film director of unverified identity. Banksy uses satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique.

Here, I will share some shots taken of the art pieces. Enjoy!

After seeing the Banksy Exhibition we went next door to the Van Gogh Museum but because you aren't allowed to take photos inside, we took a quick one outside while we waited in line :)
