Puzzles of Dae Wung Jeon in Seon Am Sa Temple

In previous post relating to Seon Am Sa temple, I didn’t introduce Dae Wung Jeon hall.
Because there were something wrong in my laptop, the photos were disappeared during arrangement.
Today I could find the photos on Dae Wung Jeon hall in Seon Am Sa temple.
Dae Wung Jeon is the most important building in Buddhist temple, because it is build to serving for Shakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism.

In general Dae Wung Jeon in Seon Am Sa seemed to be influence strongly from Shilla Dynasty, even though it was recorded that this temple was built in Baek Jae dynasty.

In my view 2 pagodas in front of Dae Wung Jeon was typical Shilla dynasty style of Buddhist temple.

What made me impressive was the corner stones of the hall, the carved style of rounding made me estimate that Dae Wung Jeon might’ve been built before Goryeo Dynasty.

But according to the record this temple was rebuilt after the invasion from Japan 1592-1597. And this building was fired once more, and it was rebuilt in 1825 AD according to the record.
But interest this is if this temple had been built after the Japanese Invasion, there could not be the round cornerstones.

Anyway the decorations under the eaves were so beautiful.

There are too much enigmas in history.
