Hiking Val Rosandra Nature Reserve in Italy (Glinščica Valley)

This time we went on a trip to the neighboring country of Italy. We explored the wonderful valley of the Glinščica river. Its source is on the Slovenian side, but it flows into the Italian sea. The valley is located mainly on the Italian side. The first attraction of this route was the aqueduct dating back to Roman times. It was built in the first century AD and it's almost 2000 years old ;)

The second attraction was the scenic peak of Cinne Comici, on which there is a stone pyramid dedicated to an Italian mountaineer.

The third attraction was the 13th-century Church of Mary in Pečine.

From there the path led us to a wonderful waterfall, the only one in the Gulf of Trieste.

Our path led us to the village of Botač-Botazzo. Above the village, we came to a gravel road, along which the railway once ran. The special feature of the road is many smaller tunnels. A small valley but with many attractions.
