Karnali River and the bridge

The largest and the longest river in the western Nepal, Karnali is the destination for majority of rafters in Nepal. Karnali literally means ‘holy water from the sacred mountain'. This bridge is aesthetically very pleasing, and awe-inspiring as well, due to its graceful design and the strength it projects. The bridge spans the Karnali River between the Kailali District and Bardiya District of western Nepal. It is also one of the premier fishing points in Nepal.
