Let me share to you another beautiful scenery during spring season in Japan.
This amazing Rapeseed in Bloom was taken last spring of 2016 at Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. As I mentioned before my family lived in Shimane for 10months.
This yellow bright flower is included in the family of mustard or cabbage.
Rapeseed is cultivated by locals and during spring season, they are harvested for it is rich in oil (for domestic use).
Of course, it is also a very nice attraction during this season (second to third week of April).
I have a friend who is allergeic to pollen, it is unfortunate for her during spring season because of high pollen levels in the air. I advised visitors to wear face masks (surgical masks is common in Japan).
My son Andrei enjoyed it....
....doing karate moves! 😂
It is really amazing! I felt like swimming on bunches of flowers!
This is one of hidden gems you can find in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture (again, the second least populated entire Japan)
The most famous place in Izumo is the Izumo-taisha shrine, one of the most important shinto shrines in Japan.
I will be sharing more about Izumo City on my next posts. ✌
Thank you for reading! ❤
