Hi Steemians 😉!

This is my first post about a very beautiful place called Thailand and i would like to start my story from a very famous island Kkao Ta Poo (or how everybody knows it James Bond island).

The fans of Bondiana are well-known for this island, because here was filmed one part of the world-famous film about the secret agent 007.

Getting to the James Bond Island is very easy, because now it's one of the most popular places in Thailand.

On the map you can find it here:

We decided to save our time and take a tour of the 7 islands to see as much interesting as possible.

Ticket price per person is 2500 THB (~ 80 $), which includes: transfer from the hotel to the sea bed, speedboat, breakfast, lunch, all equipment for snorkeling, guide, insurance and entrance tickets to all the islands (because it cost from 300 THB per person for 1 island).

On the board we met 2 people and a little boy who carried drinks throughout the journey.

We got the VIP-place on the ship's nose just opposite the captain 😁😁😁.

On the James Bond Island there are always many tourists. It has a small area, so we needed just 30 minutes to inspect everything and make photos.

Kkao Ta Poo is a small limestone island about 20 m tall.

The name of the island is translated from Thai language as a "pillar" or "nail". It was originally a part of the whole island Khao Phing-Kan but it has been scoured out by the tide and now it's separated from the main land.

It's forbidden to approach by the boat to the "pillar" itself. Attempts to swim are also forbidden - this is a specially protected natural monument, the pride of the whole country, which is protected against any damage.

Just have a look at this beautiful creation of nature:

And of course i had to make a selfie in this funny hat on the background of the famous island😁😂😂

Exactly here in 1974, in the Bay of Phang Nga, "The Man With A Golden Gun" was filmed, which was remembered by the play of actor Roger Moore.

Since getting to the Kkao Ta Poo island itself is impossible cos it's too smal for walking, the final scene of the duels was filmed on the main island - Khao Phing-Kan.

Khao Ping-Kan - these are two pointed, covered rock cliffs, whose height is three times greater than Kkao Ta Poo.

At the pedestal of the rocks there are two sandy beaches. Finding signs from the film - a crack in the rock, caves and grottoes - will not be difficult cos this island is very small.

These are the well-known rocks from the movie:

On one of the beaches you can see a huge souvenir market.

Here you can buy everything: from magnets to various jewelry made of natural pearls.

Prices are very inflated, so try to lower as low as possible. Vendors agree to make discounts for tourists so feel free to bargain 😁😉.

I also made a short video to show you the full view of this place:

We were lucky enough to get here at the very end of the tourist season, but as you can see, there is a lot of people around here anyway.

It's scary to imagine how many tourists here are in the midst of the season😱😱😱.

I have very good impressions from the James Bond Island, so if you will ever be near, be sure to visit this amazing place.

I hope you enjoyed my story about Kkao Ta Poo😉

Best wishes,

Olga:)
