Hi everyone, I'm from Colombia!

Recently I have been reading some posts about my country that are not entirely accurate, it is sad that many people only take in account what they see on TV. Our people has had a hard time trying to leave behind the image of P.E(Pablo Escobar); when we have so much to share with the world, we receive many tourists that visit every year which means we have make incredible improvements among history.

So, in the past few days I read a post from @dannystravels that inspired me to share this one. He has made such a great post about Colombia.

Some facts(found online):

According to recent statistics from Colombia’s trade ministry, the number of foreign visitors to Colombia (visitors who are not residents) grew 14% in 2014. Not counting cruise ship passengers, Colombia received 1,967,814 foreign visitors last year.

"The tourism growth in Colombia is much faster than global tourism growth, which grew 4.7% last year according to the World Tourism Organization. It is also faster than the average tourism growth in all of South America, which grew 5.7% last year. "

Finally, foreigners are realizing that Colombia is a great place to visit, Our country has the size of France and Spain combined, we have Caribbean beaches, dense jungles and extensive rivers that cross the whole country, our diversity is such that we have more species of birds, frogs and orchids from any other country and many more species that have not even been classified, plus Colombians are among the friendliest and charming hosts in the world! So come and visit us, and help us share the good things Colombians have to offer with the world.

I'm a girl who grew up on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, I love spending time on the sea, and as I am not a youtuber or a proffesional blogger, just let met share with you a few personal pics I have taken in the past few years of my happy places :)

• The Tayrona National Natural Park:
  
  Is one of the most visited natural parks in Colombia.
  
  This region is currently inhabited by the Koguis and Ljka indigenous communities, famous under the name of Arhuacos. Their mission is to maintain a certain balance and harmony between humanity and nature. Very humble tribe, friendly and wise. If you want to spend time away of the world this is a great place to go, no wifi :)

Hola todos, soy de Colombia!

Recientemente he estado leyendo algunos posts sobre mi país que no son enteramente exactos, es triste que muchas personas sólo tengan en cuenta lo que ven en la televisión. Nuestro pueblo ha tenido dificultades para dejar atrás la imagen de P.E (Pablo Escobar). Cuando tenemos mucho que compartir con el mundo, recibimos muchos turistas que visitan al año, lo que significa que tenemos que hemos hecho mejoras increíbles a lo largo la historia.

En los últimos días lei un post de @dannystravels que me inspiró a compartir este:

Algunos hechos (encontre online):

Según estadísticas recientes del Ministerio de Comercio de Colombia, el número de visitantes extranjeros a Colombia (visitantes que no son residentes) creció un 14% en 2014. Sin contar los pasajeros de cruceros, Colombia recibió 1.967.814 visitantes extranjeros el año pasado.

"El crecimiento del turismo en Colombia es mucho más rápido que el crecimiento del turismo global, que creció un 4,7% el año pasado, según la Organización Mundial del Turismo, y es más rápido que el crecimiento promedio del turismo en toda Sudamérica".

Por último, los extranjeros se están dando cuenta de que Colombia es un gran sitio para visitar y pasar sus vacaciones, nuestro país tiene el tamaño de Francia y España combinados, tenemos playas del Caribe, selvas densas y extensos ríos que atraviesan todo el país, nuestra diversidad es tal que tenemos más especies de pájaros, ranas y orquídeas de cualquier otro país y muchas más especies que ni siquiera han sido clasificados, además que los colombianos están entre los anfitriones más simpáticos y encantadores del mundo! Así que ven y visítanos, y de nuevo por favor ayúdanos a compartir las cosas buenas que los colombianos tienen para ofrecer con el mundo.

Yo soy una chica que creció en la costa caribeña de Colombia, me encanta pasar el tiempo en el mar, y bueno yo no soy un youtuber o un blogger proffesional, asi que dejare aqui algunas fotos personales que he tomado en los ultimos años de mis lugares favoritos :)
