Discovering Places #1: Taytay Resort Iligan, the best resort to unwind this summer

Growing up in Iligan City definitely gives you one benefit and that is to swim in a clean, flowing, unchlorinated water. Iligan City being known to have so many nature springs and waterfalls gives pride to being an Iliganon. Iligan offers several spring pools, but if you want to swim firsthand then you probably want the pool at the top of them all.

My favorite spring pool is the Taytay Resort, located a bit father from the city. It is located in Ditucalan, Iligan City. Accessible by riding a Buru-un line jeepneys (though you have to be very patient because there's only a few of them going back and fort to the city proper) or ride a habal habal (a motorcycle used as a public transport) from the Buru-un proper. Fare is around P15 for jeepneys and less than P50 for a habal habal.

For a more convenient trip especially if you are a group, you can just rent a jeep from the city and negotiate with the driver. Best if you have a private ride.

The resort offers so many cottages at an affordable price. Even bigger ones for special occassions like birthday parties held at the resort.

In some days the resort can get crowded but you won't worry too much because the water in the pool is running and not the typical stagnant one that can get gross if there's too many crowd swimming on it.

Taytay resort offers 2 swimming pools, a huge one for the adults and one for the kids. The huge swimming pool has different water levels being the 4 feet as the shallowest. You can even dive on the deepest part of the pool.

The resort also has lifeguards so you'll feel safer particularly if you have kids in your company. If in any case you forgot to bring your swimming accessories, there's a little store inside where you can buy swimming vest fo your kids and even toys and some other necessities.

Pets are even allowed but you have to keep them on a leash. Dogs are not allowed to bathe in the pool area but there's a clean water canal where the excess water flows beside the pool, you can bath your pet in there.

If you get lucky, you can have the pool almost by yourselves like a private pool! :D Just look at us swimming like a boss!

The resort has comfort rooms and changing area. Also a grilling place to roast your fresh meats. You need to bring your own charcoal though.

That's all for today! Thank you for taking the time reading my post. Let's keep steemin'!
