Hi everyone! Its been a while. 😁
Since Summer is already here in the Philippines, you can really feel the heat that even after taking a shower, you will feel like showering again. For this kind of weather, now is the time to go to Baguio and indulge into the cold breeze. 👍🏻
Last December 2017, we went there and I will share with you how it felt like being there. For me, it has been the most memorable trip we had because some of Xander's first time happened there. ❤️ (Xander is my son btw hehe)
First on our itinerary is the Burnham Park which is located in downtown. It is one of the many scenic parks in the city.
We enjoyed so much their famous boat ride especially Xander, gone waving to the people who were having their boat ride too, that would bump our boat.
Someone enjoyed paddling 😂
After that, we stayed there for some time because our check in time to the rented house is later after lunch. You can really feel the cold air breeze in Baguio when you're at Burnham Park. It's more likely the place where almost everyone is staying for rest, play and have picnic. Beside of it, there are bikes you can rent for an hour or how many hours you want to and designated routes for biking. However, we didn't try it because that time, too much people were there and we thought of the safety of Xander.
There are also many sellers of strawberry taho, corn, manggang hilaw with bagoong. You will never feel the boredom and hunger of course 😉

If you are planning now to go to Baguio City, add Wright Park in your target list. On our second day, we went there, which is located at the eastern part of the city, few steps away to the Mansion. It is the most popular venue for horseback riding.

Later at night, despite of the tiring day, we still managed to have some good laugh, drinks and foods as my sister @joninacalara has just arrived together with his boyfriend @dombaltazar

Picking fresh strawberries is one of the most awesome experiences on the outskirts of Baguio. It is a fun activity for your family, especially for the kids. That's why on our third day, we headed on to the heart-shaped madness in Benguet, the La Trinidad Strawberry Farm. Arriving there, we were welcomed by the ice cream vendors giving us a free taste of their strawberry ice cream. We didn't fail them on buying to them as they didn't fail us in the taste of their ice cream. Highly pleasant! 👍🏻
Even Xander could testify to that. 😊
Unfortunately, there were too many people in the fields at that time, we ran out of strawberries to pick so we decided to just buy from the stall vendors.
On to your tour to the farm, you would see some beautiful blooming sunflowers in some corners of it.
Undeniably the best place to take some pictures hehe
On our way home, we dropped by to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, place of meditation in Baguio. It is located on a high hill in the western part of the city. One has to climb hundreds of steps--stairs and reach its summit where an icon of the Lady of Lourdes is enshrined. This is where pilgrims and devotees come to seek.
We went there to appeal for guidance to Our Lady of Lourdes on our way home. To express our gratitude for the blessings poured unto us and for everything.
There are still lot of places and good sceneries that you can go on to Baguio aside from the places that we went through but the traffic will hindrance you. I suggest that time management will be the key to surpass it.
There you go fellas! I hope this helps you in your escape to the summer heat.
