Tamil Nadu formally the state of my address is one of the thirty three states of India. It's almost as big as grease but with a population of over seventy five million people. Economy wise Tamilnadu is the second largest economy in India and one of the most developed state. The state is home to a number of historic buildings multi religious pilgrimage sites, hill stations.
Human beings seem to have enjoyed living in this part of the world since time immemorial. And when I say humans I don't just mean members of our homo sapiens species archaeological evidence points to this area of being one of the longest continuous habitations in the Indian peninsula in us you don't become archaeologists excavated engine stone
tools which suggests that the human like population existed in Tamil Nadu.

Somewhere around three hundred thousand years before homo sapiens arrived from Africa. The history of our species in this area goes back thousands of years and evidence suggests that the people that live here in the neolithic use the harp on language and then in this valley script to rights suggesting that this one of the first civilizations of humanity may have had a much larger sphere of influence than previously thought.

Chennai also known by its former name Madaras. It is the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu located in the coromandel coast of the bay of Bengal. It is the biggest cultural economic and educational center of South India. It is also one of the largest cities of the world. The thirty six to be precise with a population of over seven million people. It is also one of the most visited cities in India and one of the top ten cosmopolitan cities on the planet. Chennai is also home to one third of India's automobile industry earning it the nickname the Detroit of India.

Tamil is the sole official language of Tamil Nadu spoken by nearly ninety percent of the people. It is one of the longest surviving classical languages of the world Tamil brought me inscriptions from as early as five hundred BC have been found in this region and the variety and quality of classical to militarists has led to it being described as one of the greatest classical traditions in literature of the world. While is definitely not the oldest language on the planet it is the oldest living language that's been continuously use to this day.

One of the greatest tourist spots in Tamil Nadu is the Vivekananda rock memorial. It was built in honor of
Swami Vivekananda the Hindu monk that was a key figure in the introduction of yoga to the western world. It is said that this is the place where he attains enlightenment and thus it has become a major pilgrimage site. Whether you come here to meditate or just want to look in all at the monument this site is definitely not to be missed.

Marina beach in Chennai is one of the longest natural urban beaches in the world. the beach runs from near fort Saint George in the north to foreshores states in the south a distance of six kilometers. The average width of the beach is three hundred meters and the with at the widest stretch is four hundred and thirty seven meters. Now that's a lot of space for some made those but there are two things to keep in mind first mating and swimming at the marina beach are legally prohibited. Because of the dangers present as under current is very strong in turbulent second it's crowded it attracts about thirty thousand visitors a day during the week days and up to fifty thousand visitors a day during the weekends and holidays.
