Travelling with my wife: The Harry Potter studio

IMG_7179.jpg

A few years ago, when we were visiting London, we wanted to see the Harry Potter studio. Actually, the studio was the main reason why we wanted to travel there. I think that my wife is a bigger Potter fan than me, I have seen only the movies, but she has read the books many times as well.

Warner Bros´ Harry Potter studio is the place where all the movies were filmed. Now you can find there many of the iconic sets, props and costumes that were created especially for the films. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the studio from London. We took a train from London Easton to Watford Junction and a bus from there to the studio (there is a shuttle bus service from Watford station to the studio). You have to pre-book studio tour tickets online, because you can only get inside if you have booking confirmation. We bought our tickets a couple of months earlier and there were just a few tickets left (I think it was summer holiday season..).

When we got there, we were told that the tour would take about 3 hours. We didn´t believe it at first, but we realized quite fast how big that studio is! In the end, we were there almost 4,5 hours. Also tasted the butterbeer. If you are even a little bit interested in Harry Potter, you will love the studio.

And now, plenty of photos: Can you recognise the sets?
