You you need to know the right places to get the maximum out of your holiday.

The central station of Amsterdam is build between 1881 and 1889. These days it counts approximately 160.000 passengers per day. It's the hub of the city. You can travel here with train, bus, metro, taxi, ferry and if you want to join community you can rent a bike of course. :)

Dam Square

From the central station this is the main street that will lead you to Dam Square. The distance is approximately 750 meters.

When you walk toward Dam Square you can spot these beautiful houses on your left side.

Again on your left you see Beursplein 5 where the trading at the Amsterdam Stock Exchange took place. Before everything got digitalised this was the place to be for traders.

After a walk of 5-10 min we are at Dam Square. You can find here the Royal Palace, which served as the city hall until the royal family turned it into a royal residence in 1808.

15th century gothic New Church.

The National Monument which is a white stone pillar build to memorialise the victims of the 2nd world war.

The famous Madame Tussauds, Hotel Krasnapolsky and the mall Bijenkorf are also located on the Dam Square.
