As far as I know, many foreigners visiting Korea spend most of their time only in Seoul or Busan which is not good at all.
If you guys have enough time, I recommend Sokcho and Gangneung in Gangwondo. Pyeong-Chang where the Olympics was held is also in Gangwon-do.
If you are sick of a busy modern lifestyle, it will be great opportunity to relax and have a break. There are lots of worthy spots of visiting. Strolling along the shoreline, going up mountains, having tasty local food and etc.
