Tiradito de Ribeye with Poblano rice is awesome goodness that is served with fresh Serrano peppers and delicious avocados. All this is immersed in a sea of a spicy citrus sauce.  This is a delicious treat that comes to us from the country of Peru. 

Tiraditos and it's cousin the Ceviche, are common appetizers and main dishes in Peru. Though the Tiradito is perhaps the favorite among the two. This unique way of cooking steak and fish most likely has deep roots from Japan. Every Peruvian restaurant has many different ways of cooking Tiraditos of Ribeye, but this one was delicious. If you like steak, rice, avocados, fresh hot and spicy Serrano peppers and lots of spice in general, you will love Peruvian Cooking. They always seem to use just the right amount of everything, and it is so healthy. 

The Tiradito is made of steak and also fresh fish. Both are very common among this unique and tasty cuisine. In the nineteenth century, many Japanese immigrants came to Peru and were absorbed into their society.  Their influence is seen often in the cooking, slicing of the meat or fish, and their choice of spices. You will notice a heavy use of ginger and soy sauce. This blending of cultures in the local Peruvian cuisine, has given to some very unique and delightful tastes. 

So on your next South American adventure, don't forget this small country of Peru. The food is beyond excellent, and the hospitality is amazing.
