Hello lovely Steemians :)
After returning from my Family in Southern Germany my head is full of beautiful memories and impressions.
I made a lot of exciting and amazing excursions. One of them was on last Saturday: We visited the Haut-Koenigsburg castle in Alsace, France! It was built in the first half of the twelfth century and restored at the beginning of the twentieth century.
The weather was just perfect and after a ride of one hour by car we arrived in an enchanting fairytale forest.
Only 15 minutes walking on a wonderful forest path and the castle showed its whole beauty!
We bought some tickets for the entry, which were 9 Euros each, and discovered every corner of this fantastic place! It was absolutely worth it!!
The castle has been restored with so much love and artistically skills. It is a place where history really feels alive.
Swords, armours, old furniture, paintings, red sandstone, wood, magical architecture and a stunning view and nature around make it to one of the most impressive places I have ever seen.
But let me show you some impressions of it so you can see it on yourself! :)
There is even a shop where you can buy medieval souvenirs!
That's what a kitchen looked like back in time. Isn't that a cosy space?
Art fans will be in paradise!
Ever wanted to feel like a knight choosing his weapon for a battle?
Or like a bird flying high with a view over France and Germany?
A happy Phoenix! This day was truly wonderful! :)
A last glimpse on the castle...
...and the medieval garden...
...before taking the enchanting fairytale path back to the car
