Remembering BORACAY 🌴

IMG_0850.JPG

There have been some news about the temporary closure of Boracay, to give it time to recover and for the local government there to act upon the needs of the island such as devising an effective drainage system and thinking of a proper system of garbage disposal. It pains me to think about its temporary closure, but I think a few months of giving Boracay a time to heal would be beneficial. I am not here to talk more about its closure or tackle about the political issues involved in this matter, but I am here to share the beauty of Boracay and to show you the importance of loving nature, and the necessity to preserve it before it's gone forever.

Boracay has always been a go-to destination for many. It boasts a beautiful white sand, and everything about it just seems perfect. From birthdays to weddings, or any other occasion for that matter, Boracay would always seem to be on the list of the places to choose from.

I live in Iloilo City, which happens to be just a 6 hour drive away from Boracay. I went there for about 3 times last year, but still, I could not get tired of visiting the island.

The next few pictures I will be showing you are some of those which I took from last year's visit to Boracay:

I believe that this isn't the end for Boracay. We would be expecting more beautiful sunsets once Boracay has healed. For now, we should all do our part in making sure that we get to preserve whatever we have now so that our future generations would still be able to see or experience them. I'll be ending this blog with a quote from Kirsten Butler which says: "Sunsets are proof that no matter what happens, every day can end beautifully".
