NO JUMPING CATS !!!! Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery Sunset

Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery Sunset

I was fortunate enough to arrive at the monastery, which is famous for it's jumping cats, around sunset. We saw a monk feeding the cats, but NO JUMPING !!!

I repeat - THE CATS DID NOT JUMP. If you have travelled thousands of miles to see cats jump, you will be sorely disappointed.

I've already filed reports to Google, Dave'sjumpingcats.com and Tripadvisor, so hopefully the temple will be shut down and condemmed soon :) I mean , really, , what use is a jumping cat temple if you go there and the frickin cats don't even jump but just sit there and eat.

The Photos

I managed to get a couple of cool photos of the drone, and there's even a rare photograph of me taken by a friend !!
Hope you enjoy all of the photos and please watch the the video if you have time.

All the pics were taken with a D800, some with my Nikon 16-35 VRii (ultrawide) others with the 70-200 Tamron G2.
I edited most of them in Lightroom and Phototshop.

I've already entered a couple of the photos into competitons, so if you've seen them before, it was probably here on Steemit, not in some top end New York Gallery (well not yet anyways :)

The Drone

Our cool boat driver had said that it was fine to fly my drone from here. Doing one of my first flights from a small platform on a lake was prety hair-raising (and would have been for the monks too if they had owned any hair)

After a few technical issues, I managed to get the drone up and launched, and flew around capturing a beautiful sunset.

Please check out the video , it's pretty slow and one of my first attempts, but I think it looks pretty cool anyway.

Drone: Phantom 4 Pro Plus with D-Cinelike film profile.
