Our first stop for the day is the Teepee hut of Wigwam Hotel in San Bernardino CA. It is a southwestern style Teepee hut 4 hotel that was built back in 1950. It has other branches too- Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, Arizona, Louisiana. The teepee huts are one of the famous landmark that you can find in route 66.

The movie cars created a parodied version of it, a neon colored one where the characters used to stay.

Next is the famous Emma Jean’s in Victorville. The diner was featured in many articles, movies and has became one of the landmarks in route 66. It was also considered one of the oldest standing cafe in Victorville.

The diner has many good reviews and was also featured in many shows in Tlc and foodnetwork. Too bad the diner was closed that day, Ralph was so disappointed. I can still remember his face because he was so excited to try their specialties.

The next place we visited lifted Ralph’s spirit-the Elmer’s bottle tree ranch in Oro Grande. We were in awe upon seeing the place. It is a compound where recycled items were brought back to life by Mr. Elmer Long. It took him years with this creation.

As we enter his place, we were puzzled by his creation-a forest of bottles! Such a master piece! Theres so much going on, so many details with this bottle ranch creation. Just imagine what we can do if we will just take time to recycle! There is no admission fee but you can give donations for more wonderful creation!

After our adventure in the forest of bottles, we went to a pizza place in the area. The restaurant was so cool, perfect for hanging out before going back to the city. We ordered a large pizza with many jalapenos. So yummy!
