Highlights from Barcelona

Dear friends,

It has been a little more than three months since we started living in Barcelona, and every day this city is becoming dearer and dearer to me. Let me share with you some of many beautiful, funny and memorable moments while walking in the city.

We are currently staying in El Raval, a multicultural area full of bars, markets, cute shops and cultural landmarks such as Fernando Botero's cat.

Barcelona is full of street artists, concentrated near the Arc de Triomf, the Ciutadella Park and on La Rambla. The picture above was taken on La Rambla.

I had a scrumptious breakfast at Flax & Kale in our area. It was truly an excessive amount of food, even for someone like me, but I just had to try all these things plus two eggs and a muffin:).

I went to an amazing concert of guitars at the Palace of Catalan Music. I have never seen an actual orchestra composed of guitars and it was strange to hear these instruments, typically associated with passion, play classical music.

I love taking walks at the Ciutadella Park, because it is a wonderful place on sunny days, of which there are a plenty in Barcelona.

Shops like this simply make me happy. I just had to get this sweater.

I love Barcelona's street art! I was told that there are many amazing galleries and museums but I have not had a chance to explore yet.

Until next time,

Aruna
