The Blue Hole Mineral Spring Review

Literally located off the beaten path, down twisted dirt road about 30 minutes outside of Negril lies the Blue Hole Mineral Spring. This unique natural attraction is a limestone hole filled with clean, fresh water-perfect for diving into on a hot Jamaican day. Most people come here to jump from about 28 feet (8m), into the cool water. Brave adventurers can climb trees at their own risk to jump from higher up and I saw children leap from the edge so it isn't particularly dangerous.

The photo gives you an idea of the jump from a face-first perspective. Once you are down there it opens up a little and there is a latter back up. Lifejackets are available but if you cannot swim or climb a latter I strongly recommend sticking to the swimming pool. There were other things to do on the site, such as beach volleyball, a bar/restaurant, ping-pong, lounge by the pool, and a mineral spa but we stuck to just a couple of jumps and a Red Stripe.

Notice the same clean water that feeds the blue hole is piped into the swimming pool. The grounds are well taken care of, there is a boutique hotel and it's perched on the hillside offering great views. The Blue Hole is included as a stop on the Negril Highlight's tour and is part of ReggaeSteem's Tourism Offer. Collect JAHM, come to Negril, explore a little bit of Jamaica off the beach and see the Bluehole.
