Here are a few few bits of internet wisdom that caught my eye and qualified for discussion with a fantastic legion of followers, engagers and weirdos connected through the #hive blockchain. Brilliantly paired with meticulously curated music.

Hardship & Destiny

C. S. Lewis "was a British writer, literary scholar, and Anglican lay theologian." Not bad! Any Narnia Chronicles author and friend of Tolkien is a friend of mine.

The neat image caught my eye on this one then the first word my eyes settled on was "Hardship. Definitely looks like that guy has been through, and might be presently going through hardship. A strong warrior perhaps suffering defeat or loss? A hero?

Maybe just an ordinary person who was prepared by a great many hardships and found the strength to achieve something extraordinary. Maybe that achievement makes your destiny more clear and it becomes extra-extraordinary? I am sick of the word ordinary by now but love the common denominator being normal people like me.

Why is it that Billy Joel makes it as the soundtrack for so many of these posts? You're Only Human.

To Become Strong and Sharp

I thought Dokeshi no michi might be the author but no luck. A Japanese expression translated as "the path of the jester." Things that make you go hmmmm.

I love me some samurai and ninja movies from way back. From Seven Samurai to American Ninja and everything in between. The illustration is mesmerizing when you look at it for a while and brings me back to youth & loving the stories. Images that make you stop a sec while you are scrolling.

First we are bearing hardship, now we are getting beaten and burned. Life sure is hard isn't it? I am not sure I fancy my trials and lessons forging me into a weapon but a sword is pretty cool in my books. The pressure and heat of being smelted and bent in half a bunch of times seems many times more agonizing than what I have been through. I can't say the same for people in other parts of the world and appreciate the reminder. Better a weapon in a garden than a garden tool in a war...or something like that ;)

Things That Make You Go Hmmmm....
