Why does a press control always spoil?

Almost everyone household will be using a water pump and why is it.
Normaly if a water pressure is not strong enough to reach a certain faucet point then we will install a water pump to solve the issue.
And a press control is used to monitor and control the flow and the pressure. If it detected a pressure is needed it will turn the water pump on and boost the pressure to the needed area.
What a press control do is it will stop the motor of the pump from over working. This tend to damage the motor due to overheat. If the motor doesn't stop it will damage the internal part like the shaft, impeller...

The reason i wrote this is because i never know this until now. If there is iron ore or oxide found in the water supply it will slowly make the control unworkable.
How does an iron go into the water supply?

  1. All water source from river, lakes or underground water contains iron, it just that the amount contain in it.
  2. Rainfall contain iron also can seep into the underground.
  3. Piping and plumbing system which has iron contain also will corrode and causing corrosion to the piping system.

Too much of iron oxide or ore can corrode the press control sensor and valve plate.
If iron materials exceed te safety level it maybe health risky too. How do you know if the iron ore or oxide found in the water supply is risky.
The unpleasant smell when we turn on our water supply is the indication that the iron had exceed the safety level.

Why is there a smell?
Because iron bacteria inhibit in our water supply will feed the iron ore or oxide and secrete waste. These waste will lead to other types of bacteria forming in the water supply.

How do we prevent this from getting worst? For the press control and the health too.
Using a filter which contain high quality of carbon or a manganese iron reduction filter.
