Wondermama

I got dragged out today again by my friends to go try this restaurant they had heard about from another friend of theirs. The restaurant is called Wondermama and fortunately enough for us, there was a branch just nearby at One Utama. I quickly prepared myself and headed out to meet my friends who were already in their cars outside of my place.

It was quite easy to get a parking as we reached quite early, around 11AM I think. The mall was still “waking up” so it was quite nice there wasn’t a ridiculous crowd everywhere we went in the mall. We headed to the restaurant and got served a table immediately. The restaurant serves local Malaysian food in a more gourmet style, along with some “nyonya” desserts hidden in the menu.

I ordered the Nasi Lemak Rendang and Cendol for dessert, while my friend got the fried rice. The food was alright for me, the gourmet-ness really took out some flavor out of the nasi lemak for me. It’s just, cooked too perfect you know? Doesn’t have the nasi lemak feel you’d get from a local kakak or aunty. Our total bill was up to RM62, which obviously is quite high just to enjoy what we can already have at mamaks.
