Suicidal ideation

It only feels pain or worse, numbness. A bleak, hopeless logic that reaffirms that life is pointless and nothing will ever matter is the cancer that spreads to all aspects of life. And it’s sort of right. That’s the thing. It makes sense. We lose everyone we love. We all suffer and die. Life is so hard and painful. Sometimes, it’s hard to find people to truly connect with. Children starve. For some, it gets to be so much that they just can’t do it anymore. They don’t see any other way out. It’s hard to blame them. “Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life - and travel - leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks - on your body or on your heart - are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.” Anthony Bourdain
